How did this happen?
It was a Sandworm.
A knight would have had a hard time slaying it alone, and in the event, they wanted to even have a chance, they would have to hunt them as a team with a wizard on board.
It was that strong of a monster.
Knowing that this monster lived in the desert of the north, Beatrice kept her guard up and a detection spell going at all times.
Consequently, when a giant creature pinged off the detection spell, she knew it was a Sandworm.
Only Sandworms could get to be this big.
But before she could inform the group of the danger this creature posed, Raymond yelled at them to stand back and stay away.
Surprised by the Sandworm's presence, she stepped back as he commanded.
With magic, she was thinking of launching an attack against the monster.
Sandworms had a habit of swallowing their prey alive. That being said, they had to die for the swallowed to survive.
