The Elf looked around blankly with water running down his face, then turned pale when he noticed me.
His face, which was already white, was stained a pale blue.
Behind me, his companions were slumped against each other's backs.
The ground soared over their bodies and covered their legs, and disturbing tentacles wound around their arms.
His eyes rolled queasily, and he looked to the side.
The bloodstone powder they had been carrying was almost wholly consumed.
How did this happen?
His eyes stopped on Nameless.
'What the hell is that?'
He trembled violently as if an earthquake were hitting him.
He watched as Nameless absorbed the bloodstone.
Several lines of blood formed across the blade’s side. The veins, as red as bloodstone, wriggled, and each time they did, the amount of bloodstone decreased.
It was hard to accept how this had happened, so I grabbed him by the head while he sat there dazed.
“Where do you keep looking?”
I forced him to make eye contact with me, but his eyes looked in any other direction, even with me standing right before him.
