As the barriers overlapped with each other, they peeled back. The barrier disappeared like bubbles popping, and the ice and the entrance of the Paradise became one. The fairy flew in first. As Kang Hyuk and Yojimbo followed, the barrier closed like an automatic door.
The Deep-Sea Paradise was a unique place. The ground was transparent like ice, but it was not slippery. Each time they took a step, the sounds of their footstep made noises of varying notes like a song.
Yojimbo bared his front teeth and greeted the elves he came across. “Hey, how have you been? It’s me, Yojimbo. Don’t you remember me? Or can’t, perhaps?”
The elves all looked at Yojimbo as if looking at a strange animal.
“Are you sure you’re close with the elves here?” asked Kang Hyuk.
“I say so,” replied Yojimbo. “I’ve struck so many deals with Jandelo. I’m probably the broker that’s made the most deals with elves on Earth.”
