Ian shrugged when he saw the squad members’ surprise.
"Why is everyone looking at me like that?"
"How did you do it?"
“Do what?”
"There aren't that many people in this squad who can see me when I conceal myself. Yet you blocked all of my attacks like you saw them.” Chris responded, genuinely curious.
Ian contemplated how to answer before responding.
"I didn’t do anything special. Even if I couldn’t see you, there were plenty of external factors that gave you away. For example, the sound of your low breath work, your footsteps, and the occasional beads of sweat that dropped on the ground."
"…You mean to say you figured me out from those things?"
“Well, that's not all."
“Ha…”
Chris shook his head in disbelief. He had come across people who saw through his movements by observing the soil, but he had never encountered someone who could read him on stone ground.
The Squad 8 members reacted to Chris’ hidden attacks, relying mostly on their senses. Since they bordered around life and death several times, they could somewhat detect the direction of Chris’ sword attack despite the invisibility.
