Ian was eventually forced to return the way he came with Veilant and 90 soldiers.
He had to ensure that what he killed was indeed the Giant Silver Snake they aimed for.
Ian guided them along, walking in silence.
Veilant walked beside him. He then grimaced and spoke.
"It smells like blood. I think we should be careful."
"You don't have to worry too much."
Ian glanced at Veilant, then replied and continued walking without hesitation.
He had smelled the blood scent before.
Given the number of monsters lying dead in front of the cave, wouldn't it smell like blood?
Veilant looked at Ian for a moment but continued to follow him.
Still wary of his surroundings, Veilant's mouth dropped open in surprise.
"Th-That's...!"
Dozens of monsters lay dead in front of their eyes.
Veilant looked back at Ian with a stunned face, and Ian simply shrugg...
