The Vice Principal's disdain was palpable as I presented the secret ledger to him. His eyes rolled in their sockets, a clear indication of his displeasure.
But as he scanned the pages, a change came over him.
The greed that had once shone in his gaze flickered and died, replaced by a cold, hard realization.
"Why are you doing this?" he stammered, his voice barely above a whisper.
I tapped on the secret ledger and smiled.
When I heard the information Alice collected about him, I gave her one command:
'Make copies of the secret ledger and keep them ready.'
Alice dutifully carried out my orders.
The money we already had since we arrived at the Academy, but the copies she would have to make herself.
And Alice made it without a single misspelling. It was so similar to the original one that even its owner and writer, the Vice Principal, mistook it.
