When Beatrice left me to prepare, I finally let out a sigh of relief.
I had missed quite a lot because those two had been sticking by my side all the time, except for when they were sleeping.
I couldn't visit the Elves or speak with Reims.
Reims even complained, asking me if I didn't like them anymore.
But for now, Beatrice had gone to the castle walls with the repairmen at the Marquis’ request.
Though the repairmen were selected from among the soldiers, they knew the basics of carpentry and masonry.
Most soldiers had trained in similar skills, given their lack of reinforcements.
"Are you going to see the Elves?"
"Yeah, I am."
Reims happily flapped their wings.
Was going to the Elves really that enjoyable?
Well, the Elves knew of Reims' existence, so they didn't care if they revealed themselves, meaning it was also possible for them to do whatever they wanted in the village.
"Are you going to bring that human girl too?"
"Yes."
Though their ears initially perked up in delight, Reims quickly became crestfallen...
