Where were we going now?
The Elves wouldn't tell us where we were going, nor would they speak to us at all.
We moved at a set distance from them as if we were patients bearing a terrible plague.
'This feels like we’re criminals being transported rather than invited guests...'
The atmosphere coming from the Elves surrounding us was very forbidding.
It surprised me they didn't attack us right away.
We didn't know where they were taking us; it could be the execution grounds, I supposed.
Count Warrug and Lanos were tense beside me.
Having already witnessed the Elves’ power once already, it wasn’t strange to be wary of them.
But unlike them, I was overly calm.
“Oh, this is amazing. The trees are moving away on their own.”
I glanced around casually as if I was taking in an amusement park.
Everything was terrific, but I was especially impressed by the moving trees, their roots wriggling with life.
For a moment, I thought they might be a plant-type monster, a Trent. But upon closer inspection, they weren’t.
