I went straight to the Count on my return to the house.
“What is going on?”
“Please allow me to stay with Count Warrug.”
The quill the Count used to sign the papers broke at my words.
His brow was furrowed as he lifted his head to look at me.
“Suddenly, just like that? Oh, I see something happened.”
The Count shut his mouth when he saw my face.
I was in a hurry. Ahar had grown stronger, and there was no time to waste. It seemed like I was the only one not making significant progress.
At the very least, I had to become a swordmaster or someone with equivalent power before I could face Ahar again, and sparring with the Mercenary King was not enough to get me there.
I needed more opponents. I also needed to experience the swordsmanship of a sword-wielding expert, as I was primarily a sword user.
I could learn much from Count Warrug, considering he is a Swordmaster.
