Mayorga’s death was unexpected. Balthazar knew that Mayorga was going to get in his way and had poisoned him in the short timing he had. Kang Hyuk was not fazed, but Yojimbo and Frankenstroheim were shocked.
“How unexpected. I thought the alliance of the Southern European Federation was strong.”
“An alliance is formed for each other’s benefit. If they’re in the way of my benefit, then what I should do is get rid of them as soon as possible,” replied Balthazar.
Kang Hyuk was satisfied by Balthazar’s cold explanation. “I didn’t notice you poison the water. When did you do it?”
“I brought water that I had previously poisoned. I was gonna use this as a last resort if things did not go well.” Balthazar revealed without any hesitation that he had planned to use the poisoned water on Kang Hyuk and his group.
Yojimbo and Frankenstroheim yelled in anger. “What? You were gonna poison us?”
“Hey, how can we trust a guy like this? We’ll null the negotiation!”
“Don’t misunderstand,” said Balthazar. “I didn’t bring it to poison you. I meant in case the opinions of the Southern European Federation leaders were in conflict.”
