Kang Hyuk and Yojimbo followed Melladorf. Outside of the urban parts of Sweden, Melladorf drove them along empty roads. Melladorf’s car tires turned shape into spheres and glowed a milkish color. Having switched on self-drive mode, Melladorf’s driver seat pulled back.
“Where are we going?” asked Yojimbo.
“Captain Frankenstroheim isn’t at the royal estate right now,” replied Melladorf. “He’s healing at the safe house right now.”
“What? Did the Berserker addiction symptons get that bad?”
“No, there were assassins recently that broke into the royal estate. They used poison, but it was a very strong kind. Captain consumed too much of it and took serious damage.”
“Did the assassins die? Or did you miss them?”
“They’re all dead. We left one alive to question and torture, and we found out who was behind it.”
Kang Hyuk and Yojimbo listened intently at this unexpected story.
“Who was it?” asked Yojimbo. “Someone who tried to assassinate your king would be very powerful and wealthy.”
“They weren’t trying to kill the king. They were going for Captain.”
