Dmitri came back from Baba Yaga with an assassination mission. He came back to a hotel in Mechikav. The hotel was full of hunters who had come to raid dungeons or to carry out deals or missions. The hotel was called Conventional Hotel Russia; it was a franchise hotel that had a chain also in Moscow. Dmitri booked a VIP room in the hotel and explained his situation to Kang Hyuk and the group.
“I thought you went to explain that you failed the Elixir mission?” asked Yamazaki.
Yojimbo just stared at Dmitri without saying anything.
Dmitri crossed his arms. “I had no choice. Things just turned out like this.”
“Well, you should’ve prevented it.”
“Yamazaki, you wouldn’t be saying that if you were in my position,” defended Dmitri. He had failed Baba Yaga’s mission. The payment for that was death, but Baba Yaga had chosen to give him another opportunity by way of indirect death instead of killing him herself.
“You’re gonna do it despite it being a mission intended to kill you?” asked Yojimbo. “Why don’t you just flee to the U.S. with your family? The U.S. Association will take you in any time. Everyone knows the nickname Vladivosk’s Meat Glove after all.” <...
