Seeing Yamazaki stopped, Yojimbo asked, “What? What’s wrong?”
Yamazaki continued to stare ahead of him without responding. His eyes narrowed. “There are some bastards greeting us. I’ll take care of them.”
After Yamazaki finished talking, they heard a strange noise from deeper inside the cave. The noise reached them riding the wind. It was a monster’s cry that sounded metallic. The owners of the cries were ice spiders that had perfectly blended in with the icy walls of the cave. A spider came towards them, mouth wide open and its legs, made of ice, sliding over the ice ground.
Yamazaki swung his Localius a few times towards the ice spiders charging towards him. A ray of sunlight touched the spiders, and the spiders melted like snow. The liquid melted onto the floor and froze in a moment.
“Let’s go,” said Yamazaki.
He guided the group into an underground bunker hidden within the cave. Yamazaki put his eye to the entrance of the bunker as well as his hand. The bunker door detected Yamazaki’s mana and opened.
