Columbo began renegotiation with Kang Hyuk.
“I didn’t want to do this, but the U.S. offered me a much higher amount of money,” said Columbo.
“How much did they offer?” asked Kang Hyuk.
“They offered twice what you offered.”
“Then I’ll give you four times the amount.”
“What?” Kang Hyuk’s offer was much more shocking than what the U.S. had offered. “W-wait. Then we can take four billion?”
“If you do your job, yes.”
Columbo’s group wordlessly looked at each other. “It’s too great of an amount. We’re gonna need some evidence to back your words.”
“Good. Yojimbo.”
Yojimbo brought over a file of documents.
“This is what I’ll give you for now. Four billion isn’t a large amount to me considering what I earn from the entirety of the African continent. The U.S. will never be able to outpay what I can. So you better choose wisely,” said Kang Hyuk.
Columbo checked all the documents. It was an amount of money he had never even seen on paper in all the three decades he had worked in Southeast Asia. Michael and Buckler also checked the documents.
