The film begins with the so-called ‘abusive usage of military tent incident' which is known to be the trigger of Kyungsin Turnover.

The Sixth Year of King Sukjong's Reign
It was the first turnover when the South Faction lost its political position with much bloodshed.
Sukjong had been remorseful that his father, King Hyunjong, had gotten caught up in the Yesong Controversy and that the ministers had abused their powers. Afterward, the South Faction hardliners, such as Heo Mok and Yoon Hui, sent messages criticizing his mother, Queen Myeongseong. Yoon Hui, in particular, spoke in an insulting tone, saying "Get a grip on the queen," and this incurred King Sukjong's wrath.
"Yoon Hui... I'll never forgive you."
The core incident was the 'Incident of Abusive Usage of Tent'. King Sukjong gave Heo Mok a posthumous name and gave Heo Jeok the honorable ark and cane, and a big celebration party was planned. King Sukjong heard that it would rain on the proposed day...
