[Song Kyu-ha has been confirmed to play the role of King Sukjong in director Kim Jung-nam’s new movie The Sovereign]
Reporter Kwon Hyuk-min of Inha Economy reports that actor Song Kyu-ha confirmed on the 27th that he will be starring as Sukjong in director Kim Jung-nam's new movie The Sovereign (produced by Tyron Pictures).
Song Kyu-ha, who acted as a sculptor cut off from the world in TVM's "Pygmalion Reverse Effect", where he uniquely portrayed his character as a one-woman man, will work with director Kim Jung-nam for the first time in the movie The Sovereign.
While many critics in the film industry consider it an unusual casting, director Kim Jung-nam is known to have controversially courted the actor by writing a letter filled with admiration and flattery to Song Kyu-ha.
Confirming his part in the movie, Song Kyu-ha said, "It is a great honor to be able to work with director Kim Jung-nam, and I know many are doubtful. I will do my best to prove them wrong," he explained with feigned humility.
