Jung Ha-young was an international student studying philosophy at the University of Paris.
She had been going through a series of strange experiences lately.
Adjusting to life in France was difficult for her, as she hadn't been to the country before she started schooling there.
With nothing but passion, she managed to learn the French language, and she could now communicate easily to an extent.
But something else was giving her a tough time.
Racism.
Despite all her efforts, she couldn't help but secretly suffer the injustice of racism.
On the bus she used to take to campus every day, she often encountered a bald French man.
He would start a quarrel whenever he saw Jung Ha-young and hurl all kinds of racist slurs at her.
At first, she got angry and asked for help from the people around her, but it was useless.
However, she had no choice but to take it since there was only one bus from where she resided to campus.
Today, as always, the big-bellied man was ready to pick a fight with her. In fact, it was like he'd been waiting for her to show up.
