However, the Emperor's forces were not that large.
They were only slightly more than or equal to the Crown Prince's forces.
‘Well, it's not a typical situation, so it doesn't matter.'

The rule of needing three to five times more troops only applied in typical situations, and this was not one of those.
Firstly, the capital itself was originally where the Emperor resided, so he knew the internal affairs better than the Crown Prince.
Plus, there was Daniel.
Once inside the castle, the siege would not be difficult.
Daniel would dig a tunnel, and the soldiers would infiltrate through it.
Of course, they would have to attack from outside the castle as well to create a diversion, and it would take some time for Daniel to create a passage large enough for many soldiers to move at once.
