"The holes are wide open. It's absurd."
As Ian mumbled in disbelief, Daniel approached from behind and picked up the conversation.
Ian glanced back at Daniel, chuckled, and nodded.
It was baffling whether the goblin had modified the cave itself or done something else, but holes kept appearing.
"Let's just go."
"We have to."
Daniel made a gesture towards the hole with his chin, and Ian shrugged his shoulders, taking a step forward.
The hole was just big enough for one person to pass through, so Ian led the way.
"But it's strange that we're dealing with a goblin like this."
"Ha, now that I think about it, it is."
At Ian's words, Daniel burst out laughing.
Goblins were the kind of monster that could be easily killed with one swing of the sword, and without much thought.
The thought of Ian and Daniel teaming up and still unable to beat that goblin was amusing.
