Ian furrowed his brow as he carried Searet back to her house.
No matter how he thought about it, it seemed like the gods didn't favor him. They constantly made his move without giving him time to rest.
"Phew..."
Ian let out a small sigh, then reached out to pat her head as she sobbed.
Ian was new to this place, so, naturally, he didn't know where Searet's house was.
She needed to tell him where to go, but given her current state, he had no idea what to do.
Ultimately, Ian decided it was best to ask her where her house was after stopping her crying.
"Searet, don't cry. I promise I'll do everything I can to make sure your mother is safe."
"Whoo... do you promise?"
Searet asked, rubbing at her eyes. Ian nodded.
"Yes, I promise. Now, can you tell me where your house is?"
"It's over there, that way."
Searet pointed down an alleyway.
Ian hesitated at her gesture, but he followed her directions without another word.
"We're here."
"Is this... your house?"
