The Kraken was undoubtedly powerful.
However, while facing it, Ian realized that it wasn't an impossible opponent to defeat.
It was just a monstrously large and ferocious octopus.
Although it was a legendary monster, its strength came from its massive size, and it didn't possess any special characteristics.
'It's a shame I can't fight it underwater.'
As a human, Ian couldn't possibly breathe underwater. Additionally, the water resistance made it hard to swing his sword.
He thought that if there was at least solid ground to stand on, it would be easier to face the creature.
Shaking off those irrelevant thoughts, Ian continued to battle the monster.
He cut off the tip of one of the Kraken's tentacles.
With a burst of black blood, the Kraken's tentacle disappeared.
The creature let out a peculiar groan and writhed under the waves.
Ian managed to dodge the Kraken's blood infused with magi, fearing what might happen if it splashed onto him.
Taking a deep breath, Ian gently patted Mir, who then flapped her wings and charged down at the Kraken.
