Ian hesitated for a moment at the mention of the Necromancer looking for him, then retrieved his sword and sheathed it.
"What do you mean the Necromancer is looking for me?"
"I'm not exactly sure, but he asked where he could find a swordsman who uses fire."
"So, you've met the Necromancer yourself?"
"Yeah, I ran into him while I was scouting. You're the only swordsman who uses fire. So when I told him you weren't here, he killed two of my fellow squad members and asked about your whereabouts."
"And then?"
"What do you mean 'and then?’ Of course, I told him you were at the Tain Fortress."
The Devil Platoon member shrugged his shoulders, and Ian nodded.
"Hmm... You did the right thing."
It was indeed a wise decision.
Hiding Ian's whereabouts could have put the entire Devil Platoon in danger.
Telling the truth was a better choice.
"I had no choice, you know?"
