Waiting to Attack is a tactic in the "Thirty-Six Stratagems" of war that means to wait for the right moment to attack when the enemy is exhausted. This is the tactic I used against Luke in our battle. However, Luke seemed to be preparing for a last resort, which is the "Plum Instead of Peach" tactic, also known as the "peach tree substitution for the plum tree" tactic. This tactic means gaining a big advantage with minimal loss. Another similar phrase is "Cutting Flesh and Breaking Bones," which means to sacrifice oneself to defeat the enemy. Luke's status bar showed "resolution," which is what this tactic represents.
[That final move became literal.]
As the Heavenly Demon said, he tried to sacrifice himself to take my bones.
During the fierce battle, he had shown a big vulnerability and attacked me, of course intentionally.
"If it weren't for your warning, I would have been in trouble."
Luke's attacks were sharp.
He ignored the obvious vulnerability I showed on purpose and even though I blocked his expected sword strike, his ever-changing rapier aimed for my neck.
